Step by step

One day in another counseling session, I mentioned that I felt like I was wasting time by taking all this time for myself to do healing work. I had this recurring thought that I needed to just “get out there“. It wasn’t wrong, and it would not have been wrong to do that. Many ways to learn. It also was not wrong to sit with self and really take the time to dig into this opportunity to understand myself and heal in the process. In that session with my wonderful counselor, I told her:

I just want to free myself, get out there.

If I picture myself being really free right now, in a social setting, it’s me out with my buddies, being smart asses, one upping each other, sarcasm. Having fun with no filters, letting it rip!

She responded, well, then you would not be free would you? Anger has you. As we know, sarcasm is just anger coming sideways. We need to work on that #anger.
